The Netherlands is currently in the midst of a record breaking drought. The Dutch Water Authorities are working around the clock to minimize problems that occur due to this ongoing drought, trying to balance water demands for domestic use, the agricultural sector as well as natural vegetation. In this special drought-bulletin, the Dutch water managers explain what measures are taken to deal with the drought, and what role satellite based data can play in this challenge.
