The XI ATALAC congress on 26, 27 and 28 of September, under the slogan Agribusiness Intelligent Competitiveness and Sustainability, will bring together delegations of sugar technicians from more than 25 Latin American and the Caribbean countries. Our colleague Ernesto Bastidas-Obando is taking part of this event. Ernesto will present the work of eLEAF with the Sugarcane Research Center of Colombia (CENICAÑA) to model crop development for sugarcane fields from satellite derived information and thermal time for periods under cloud conditions in Colombia.
